New York (USA) - Journey to the World Capital City

Statue of Liberty

I hear that many people are not New York America, but New York, New York, and I am very curious for years. I have been to the US for four months with my Work & Travel program in my college years but I have not been able to go to New York side because I am in the Florida area.

Before classically, I started to investigate what is going on in the city, where to go, what applications are needed to make life easier. If you do not need an internet package to start with, have a metro map on your phone showing the entire subway line. This city must be the map. If you want to buy or use an internet package, we suggest you download the New York Subway application. If you're going to New York, I suggest you never return without going to a musical. I must remind you that especially good shows have to be bought before you go on the internet because the tickets are already over. Otherwise, you are unlikely to get there when you go. Even if it would be too expensive (I can not tell you that the normal ticket prices are also very cheap) or you can find very bad seats, which is a low possibility. Other than that, you can buy a half-price ticket on the red stairs in Times Square on the morning of the game to get cheaper tickets for some games. But you need to enter the queue 3-4 hours before the ticket sale and pray that the ticket is over. This situation is not valid in every game.

If you want to bring cheaper places to visit in the city, you have two options;
New York Pass -www.newyorkpass.com
New York CityPass -https://www.citypass.com/new-york

I do not want to drown too much by entering the details but we got CityPass. We chose this because the price advantage is much better. But if you have more time, you can opt for the New York Pass if you want to go a lot further. It will also be your turn to rank at some point in this respect. You can buy these tickets from the internet or buy them by cash or credit card at the Tourist Information point right there in Times Square.

After sharing certain information at the beginning of the article, I will now go into the details of the trip a little more.

We succeeded in landing in New York with Amsterdam transit. After you first made your passport check with the help of a machine, we shot the classic passport stamp and completed the venture to the US territory. Since our hotel was close to the Times Square, the metro station was very close and we made our plan so that we would go by metro. As a result of my research, we had a shared shuttle to the hotel from the airport for 21 USD but we chose the metro so that it was both adventure and more convenient. Before I left, I learned that the weekly subway ticket was $ 30, so I took the tickets and made this decision with that metro I think this subway is my ride. But when we got to the airport metro we found out that it was not possible to get that card from the machine and the trip to America started with bad surprise when we saw that only one ticket was 7 USD and the second metro was 2 USD because it was a private line. we reached the station. (I would also like to say that we changed 1 metro) Fortunately, we were able to reach the hotel without walking too much since it was only a 2-minute walk away. But during this time we had reached our hotel in the same footsteps as the extra luggage and stairs (no escalators and elevators) and extra time lost. As you guys, give $ 21 per head and go to your comfortable hotel.

We made the venture for the night time and we got out of the room. We did not have any problems using the lifts of our 40-story hotel for the evening time. But the next morning we met with the bad reality. The hotel has 40 floors and 6 floors on each floor, but it is only 3 elevators, so pick up the elevator in the morning especially when you go down in the same lottery as you also catch the amortization. Walking down the 19 battles and getting out is not too smart a job. Luckily we saw our work with a little cunning, but there were days when we lost a lot of time while waiting for the elevator.

The first day, of course, we took the time to Times Square without losing time. With a large crowd, wide sidewalks and streets as well as a huge human crowd, we reached the small but illuminated "Red Staires" spot we had seen in all the movies. There is not much to be surprised about the presence of anything. Of course, only 10 minutes :) Then we walked slowly into the air of the city. We arrived at St.Patricks church in the center of the city with a little walk. I must say that after the churches in Europe it is small and dim. An important thing for New York is that you can be sure that it will take much longer than you see when you walk to a street or a street because the streets and streets are long.

Time Square
Time Square

Next stop is the Grand Central Station with the NBA Store. For Grand Central Station I guess I should not be overrated. Okay, it's one of the rare structures with historical look and texture, but it's not as exaggerated as it is. The ceiling drawings are nice and ordinary except for the beautiful positioning of the Apple store. Maybe I'm too big in my eyes. After Grand Central Station, when I said that my feet were landing, I came to Bryant Park, one of the beautiful parks in the middle of the city. In New York parks, outside the lawn areas, there are chairs belonging to the park in the park and you can take them and sit where you want. Whether you want to head to the park in the park, in the middle of the grass, if you want to shade under the tree. We started taking our chairs and resting. I state it as a transcript; New York is the only place I have no problem with internet connection. In Metroland, you have internet, internet in all stores, besides free internet in many parks and Bryant Park is one of them.

The Grand Central Station
From there we reached Medison Square Garden, which is less visible but less than walking distance. If you want to go in, you have to pay. You can go inside and visit certain points. But I must say that I could not feel the surroundings of this place and the spirit of the building, unfortunately.

When we were approaching the sunset, we threw ourselves into the Empire State Building. When you get a ticket to the building you are given a double ticket to enter in the morning and evening. But we went into the sunset to not pull the tails twice and not to waste our time. Here we have the opportunity to see the bright side of the city, the sunset and the darkness of the night. We were surprised when we thought we did not have to buy a ticket because we bought our ticket from Times Square in CityPass. When you get the Citypass they give you just a piece of paper. With this output, when you first go to any of the 8 sightseeing points, they give you your ticket stub. So we went to the ticket line and showed our ID and got our ticket coach. Then we shoot in front of a fast green background and find ourselves in the elevator. Since we do not have a lot of chances, we arrived at the end of 20 minutes. We waited in the middle of the floor for about 40 minutes to get to the top. (But if you like, you can walk on 8 floors). You need to buy extra tickets if you want to get out of 102 after the break. We did not go out because we did not want to give Citypass the extra money, but it is your decision. Of course, you will find the sales shop waiting for you with the strange photon after which the souvenir shop and the view of the backplane building are placed in front. If you want to buy a photo, you have to pay 15 USD. At the end of the trip, it was good that I came out and I told the city from this place. We also suggest you do it and see it from every angle.

Empire State Building
The next day we set out our first goal by setting the Statue of Liberty. We reached the pier quickly with the subway. Since the skeleton was empty, we started to wait for the bot with a little bit of work. As the boat got up and started to drive, we realized that the boat passed the island where the Freedom Monument was located, but the job was over. We went to Staten Island unintentionally. We had lost 1 hour, 30 minutes to 30 minutes, but from a good point of view, we had the opportunity to see both the distance and the photo of the Statue of Liberty. I am now confident that we are in the right place from the crowd as we go up and down the pier next to 100 meters. We arrived at the island about 15 minutes after waiting for about 1 hour. Briefly, it would be sufficient for you to spend 4 hours on the Freedom Monument. I would like you to know that if you want to get on the monument you can not enter with a bag and that you are 15 USD per person. I will tell you about the island. The fact that the boats are very small and small makes the transportation a bit difficult. Just remember to reserve the queue for 3 hours.

After turning down the hot spot, we walked around Wall Street and started walking to the September 11 memorial, not even taking photos of the human figure in the bull sculpture. After a short walk, we reached the area where the water flows inward and all the people dying around have twin towers written by name. We entered with the information contained in the Citypass ticket. I have to say that the museum which is built around some basic and internal parts and supported with many relics, video and audio recordings is a good design and thought product although it does not draw much interest.

11th Monument

We found ourselves rubbing our eyes at the door of the Nation Museum next to Central Park at 08:30 am the next day on the. Luckily we were in there 20 minutes later because the queue was fast. I want to pass it by saying that it is not too much. I can say that the parts from outside the space department are very useful and perfect for the 5-14 age groups. But it will be boring for older age groups. I have to say that there is nothing satisfactory except for the demonstration in the space section. If your time is limited you can also enter. Later we went downtown to visit Little Italy and China Town areas. The Little Italy region is home to many restaurants and cafes and is a nice area where you can see lots of Italian flags on the streets. You can find the Chinese version in the China Town area. Another area close to this area and where you can go around is the SOHO district. I can say that this area is a bit more stylish and stylish. It is a beautiful area where you can spend time in boutique little cafes where you can go through different boutiques where you can travel around New York City with the soul and only people and surroundings on the streets. I recommend you visit this region.

American Museum of Natural History

One day later we started walking daily on the Brooklyn bridge. You can take beautiful pictures while crossing the bridge, you can easily observe both sides and other bridges. I'm afraid I can not tell you that we've found too much by Brookly. When you cross over to the other side of the original bridge, you can even feel that the city has changed. So we decided to go to Williamsburg, which we read on the internet and on the same side as Brooklyn. Although it did not seem to be close by foot, we reached the area by changing two metros because the walking path was not very convenient. We were so hungry that we ran into a steakhouse with a very high score, as well as a subway line. You can find below what I think about Peter Luger Steak House. But to put it briefly; The meat is terrific but a bit touristy. After we got satisfied, we took ourselves to Williamsburg roads. First of all, I could say that the chance came to a big Jewish neighborhood and my mouth was open. Totally local clothes, all signs in Hebrew, everyone speak Hebrew, even school services like this. Man feels different in that environment. After that, I do not want to go too far to walk around the area that has begun to develop, but unfortunately, I can not say what we like very much. If you ask me, you will not lose anything unless you go.

We came in front of the Majestic Theater to get into the tail of the musical we had before we left for the evening. I guess we waited 30 minutes for the door to open for 30 minutes and for everyone to have a ticket. I am disappointed that you are old enough to be built, but when the lights go out and the show begins, we feel that you are in a film production of more than a musical. We chose not to go to '' The Phantom of the Opera ''. But if only we had the opportunity and our money, we would be very, very honest to have gone to another game. I hope to visit New York next time.

Brooklyn Bridge

We started the day at Central Park the next day. You can get a map if you want 2 USD at the entrance of the park, but I do not think there is much you need. I suggest you spend at least half of the day here. Go in and out of the grassy area, take a boat ride for an hour with the people next to you in the lake, watch the people doing sports while walking under the trees, or just watching the people who are there to breathe. I do not want to go into too much detail and write about the beauty of the places we go. You can find them at the end of the article, but there are a lot of options for art lovers in New York, but even if you are not interested, I suggest you at least take the time to MOMA and go.

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
Came to the Chelsea region. It's the region that I like most and lives in New York and I want to stay here. Not very long apartments. The streets that feel safe, the green fields of the feed, the nice cafes and bars, the people who live here and see the street, the bank and the book said that they read more peacefully. It is also the neighborhood where people are drawn to photographs in buildings and doors where "'Sex and the city' 'and' 'Friends'' lines are drawn and there is no joke. You can also find it here at the shop where Magnolia opened first. I would not say it is very good for all its products, but I would recommend you to try the Banana Pudding.

Chelsea Street
I can easily say that there is a lot to tell when you are told in detail, but I tried to shorten and summarize this article as much as I can because the sight seems too long.

To summarize briefly, I must say that in a city where I am going to New York City where I do not feel strangers at first, starting from the very first moment. As the vast majority of the city is settled by immigrants, there is no way of looking at it in reverse and you do not get a foreign feel. It must also be the fact that we have consciousness in the culture imposed on films and sequences for years. New York is a city that I believe everybody should see at least once. Though there are many situations such as collision, air pollution, noise, insecure feeling, etc., I think that the air and the flow of life should be experienced at least once. Lastly, since accommodation is expensive, we recommend that you do your booking work by chasing the deals in advance.

Recommendations for Dining and Entertainment
  • Wolfgang's Steakhouse- a restaurant near Times Square. Nice and quality place you can go to eat steak. If you are thinking of going in the evening you might need a reservation.
  • Refinery Rooftop- The venue, in general, is nice and close to Times Square. You are leaving the hotel and logging in. Although the menu of the venue is inadequate and you have to pay cash, you can take your credit card after taking your credit card after you have paid it. It is ridiculous and unpleasant
  • NGO- You can eat your delicious food under beautiful lighting in the roof section for a certain time. At 12 o'clock then you can enjoy the fun of club music accompaniment. It's not perfect, but it's worth evaluating.
  • Bella Blu- Literally traditional and authentic Italian restaurant. Even Italian, from the menu. The pre-dinner sauce was successful. The macaroni is nice and the prices are affordable. I did not eat the pizza, the master did not do what they were sick. I wish I had been sitting there when I was lifted.
  • Peter Luger Steak House- There is no mention of flavor and meat but it is not possible to get single-person steak for at least two people. It's around $ 110. They do not give you anything. Even water is tap water. Someone already does not have a draft beer bottle. Unfortunately, side effects are suppressing the taste of meat.
  • Caffe Roma Pastry- If you want to taste delicious Italian desserts near the Expresso, do not miss this place on the corner of Little Italy entrance. The place looks old, but the flavors and texture are more than that.
  • Knickerbocker Bar & Grill- Nice and nice place. Employees are the güler face and fast service. But the most important thing is the meat is delicious. If you want to eat delicious meat and spend time in a nice environment it will be a good choice.
  • Sant Ambroeus- meals successful, service quality, friendly service. Prices are moderate. If you think to go in the evening, we will make a reservation. Especially not to go but know when to pass.
  • Le Bain- The venue is two floors. The upstairs roof downstairs also has a nice and small pool area. Prices are normal. I suggest you go.

Attention and Suggestions
  • Watch out for the subway line. You need to choose the right direction.
  • The CityPASS is nice but there is no queue advantage.
  • Most places have free internet.
  • Get ready for long queues.
  • Sometimes walking is more advantageous than the subway.
  • Century21 is convenient as the price and variety of store chain. It is an individual to spend money, especially for women.
