On a Saturday morning, my friend decided to go to Istanbul one night after a busy day of picnic, where we could picnic in his own way. Although our first choice is Sapanca, we have realized that there is no picnic area and self-catering style as we wanted in Sapanca. We also find the place with the belief that the downhill paths of Mashuka. We found ourselves in the center of Maşukiye as the result of an hour's drive. We wanted a place that was very quiet and spacious instead of the area where many restaurants are side by side, ATV safari, horse riding and similar activities at the entrance. For this reason we shot ourselves on the mountain road of Kartepe.
As you travel along the mountain road, you can see many places on the road on the left and right. While climbing to the top, we were enjoying the scenery while we were looking at the surroundings and locations of the spaces. After taking a long way, the business called Hidden Valley, which is located in the middle of the mountain road, was the most eye-catching place. We have read that they serve both picnic area and restaurant. We decided to go back and look there.
From the beginning they welcomed us with a gulley face. By the way, we went to the picnic, but no barbecue, no plate dish, no food. We were in the place where we went, we got out of the way. When we talk to the officials in the business, they help us right away. First they told us that instead of selling the meat themselves, it would be better to go and buy it from below. Then they offered a butcher who could shop. We picked our meats and till the end of the day, our mangalıms were burnt, the plates were ready for our forks, the salads and the hamlets were laid. By the way, I would like to mention that I just wanted salads, besides the mezes were prepared as hospitality. Restaurant also serves as a variety of appetizers in their hands.

If I need to tell you about the picnic area; an abundant wooded area, water flowing from the right side of the mountain, long string swings tied to trees, and plenty of hammocks. If you go down there is a perfect view of the lake waiting for you.

While we were waiting for our meat to be cooked on our mangalis, we had a slight problem in the mouth, but after 5 minutes we had come up with a huge embers. By the way, I would like to mention that the restaurant section is upstairs, we check below but do not intervene. We are pleasant friends and have not forgotten to bring a fruit plate we have requested in close proximity to completing our barbecue. In the meantime, if we had cheese in our mouth, it would have been superb with hot bread, so we had a cheese plate ready before the barbecue. At the end of the meal you will never have to drink tea. They brought freshly infused tea from under the fire with a teapot.

After completing our mangalum and having eaten our fruit, we came to sleep and get some rest. We went to sleep in the hammocks in the forest and read our books in light water and slept a bit. It was evening that we never got up from ourselves and it was time for us to go. Even if it is difficult, we are getting ready to get ready for the road. Now it's time to pay for the account and I was wondering what would happen to the 5-person table at the end of the service. The service that was served so far was 100 TL when it was called cucumber, fruit, appetizer plate, tea, barbecue, fork, plate. Actually, I was expecting more. By the way, entrance to the picnic area is also free and includes this fiya.
"Hidden Valley" is indeed a place where I can recommend 100% to those who will go to that area both as a service and as a place.
I would recommend the mountain road, where you can find a more spacious, comfortable and peaceful environment a little further up the road, as you stay in the inland area of Maşukiye. You can reach them by going 10 minutes further. Just take your meat and go. You can handle the rest there easily. Of course it would still be better to go well equipped if what happens is not what happens.
