Ljubljana - Bled - Piran (Slovenya/Slovenia) The Greenest Country in Europe
When my last Schengen visa was in search of a suitable flight ticket on the internet to go to another country before the end of history if going to "Buldum Slovenia, my eyes turned to Slovenia as Sauron's eye, with the result of my". When I saw that THY is a flight to Ljubljana 2-3 times a day and I saw that the prices were reasonable, I said it was OK. Our goal is Slovenia.
As a result of our research, we prepared our route. The first day in Ljubljana, the next car we rented is the lake of Bled, which is an hour away, and finally the coastal town of Piran, about an hour from Ljubljana.
It made it easier for us to have airplane clocks at convenient times. The flight at 08:15 in the morning was just in time, and at the end of the two-hour flight at 8:25 pm local time, we hit Slovenia without losing any time.
The airport is also about 20 km from the center. I have already made reservations for Sixt, which I think is convenient and reliable by looking at all car rental companies. (Unfortunately this was a bad choice, unfortunately, I was not able to understand it at the end of the trip.)After taking the car and leaving for the city center, we reached the city center in 15 minutes and reached our first destination, theNational Museum of Slovenia. Luckily the presence of the AVM and underground car park provided us with a quick solution to the parking problem.
Before we entered the museum, we stopped looking at the brochures and saw that the museum was mainly concerned with the history of the world and that it was about the general education of the children, and about 500 meters ahead Museum of Modern Art, we decided to go to them. Entry fee for the museum is 6 Euro per person. It is a beautiful modern art museum which consists of a single Kattan and you can easily finish in about an hour. It is a museum where mainly the works of Yugoslav artists are found. At the end of the museum tour, you can also enjoy a coffee at the head of the museum which is very sympathetic.
Our next destination is the Triple bridge, Dragon bridge, Butcher's bridge, 500 meters away. I am adding this to the generalization that the cities that pass through the water are beautiful. There are many bridges connecting to a city. The most famous of these are the Triple, Dragon, and Butcher bridges.
From there, you can see very beautiful Dragon sculptures and treatments made on the Dragon bridge. According to a minuscule mite, after a dragon who lived in this region was killed, people settled here and the foundation of the country was laid. So you can see Dragon figures in many different points. The locals also have Dragons on the logo of the Union. As an intermediate piece of information, I like this beer very much. If you are a beer lover, I strongly recommend you try it.
Butcher bridge you will find plenty of locks. Beside this, bronze sculptures and dragon heads in the middle of the bridge and in the middle of the bridge add a different richness. You must add to the list of places you should not be seen before.
We were unable to get into the Preseren plaza, where the triple bridge is located, as well as entering the Ljubljana Cathedral which is unfortunately closed. But the operations at the door were very impressive and different. I have seen from photos that it is beautiful for you. But outside of it, I have a lot of non-flashy, interior and exterior decorations and design that I can generally say for Slovenian churches.
We took our break in the center and set out for the Ljubljana Castle, where you can see the city from almost every corner and see the city in bird's-eye view. If you rent a car like us, you can drive up to the gate. But besides this, you can reach it by the finite way. If you pay 6 euros for the entrance fee, you can give 5 euros more and you can get a headset for voice narration, but I do not think it is necessary. Because I can not tell you it's a lot inside. You can easily see the four sides of the city from the top of the castle and the city walls as a bird's eye view.
The National MuseumSlovenia, located in Metalkova, the last place in our destination after the(Narodni Muzeum Slovenije). At this point, we need to clarify something. Because I want to explain that there are confusions even in Google's eyes. The names of the people in Ljubljana resemble each other and this is why there is even confusion on the internet. So, in order to make them clear, you can find their external images and their full names and contents below.
This museum in Slovenia in the past the textiles used in everyday life today, furniture, utensils, and watches you can see. I would advise you not to enter the big anticipation for this two-story museum. If you ask me this museum which is 6 euros for entrance it will not do much. I can say that you have to go aside as your mind wakes up in your head. You can find one more modern art museum right next to this museum. We entered a lot of similarities, but we decided to pass, of course.
Here you can find the nightlife area of Slovenia's different concept, right next to it. This area, which was used as an anarchy center of the country in the past, has now become a heartland of alternative architecture and graphic arts and nightlife. I have to say that it is very different and different from being a bit scary. I advise you not to leave Ljubiana here without looking.
We started our way to our hotel as the weather started to get dark and the streets that were a few people started to empty. We chose a somewhat out-of-the-way accommodation in the city because it is a car, and we did it well. We strongly recommend the place we stayed. The city is 20 minutes walking, 3 minutes by car. It is a hotel with large rooms and an open buffet Turkish breakfast which is very difficult to find in Europe. I would suggest you take a look at the hotel. (Vila Teslova)
The next day after a lovely breakfast we headed towards the Bled lake. After approximately 50 minutes of travel, we reached Bled Castle. There are not many places to visit in the castle. There is a small museum where you can see the historical formation of Bled and the history curriculum of the people living around it. I can say that you will not take your very long time. But the main thing that will cause you to go is the opportunity to catch the perfect view of the lake and its beautiful photographs here and watch the entire area from the top. The entrance fee here is also 6 euros. After we take beautiful photos here and enjoy the view from the top of the lake, we go down to the edge of the lake.
walk from the lake edge to the motor scaffolding which will allow us to go to the church and the clock tower in the middle of the lake. There are motor tours to the island all over the lake. We waited about 20 minutes for the hour we were headed to our pier, and then we reached the island with a 10-minute motorway ride.
Although the island is small, there is a very sympathetic cafe next to the church and bell tower in it. If you want to enter the church entrance is 6 euros and you can go to the top of the clock tower with this ticket. Although the church is a small church, the only difference is that you can play the church by pulling the rope inside. According to the Rivalry, if you steal this knife, it brings you luck that year. Let's see if we can get lucky :) We climbed up the steep stairs to the top of the clock tower, but we realized that there was no value to going out and that it was unnecessary. A place where there is nothing except the small windows on the hill. Of course, I do not know if it will make you happy to see the watch mechanism. After an hour's time, we go back with no motive. In the meantime, the engine fee is 11 euros I have mentioned this without skipping.
After taking the motorcade, we walked from the local sweets of Slovenia to the Park Cafe, which is right next to the sculpture to eat the Bled's Crested Pie. It is a place that is very praised despite its old design and not being an alligator. We went in to try this local dessert and we gave our order. Even if you do not take me as a sweet taste that comes after you, it is a mouth-watering after all. I think it should be tried because it is a regional taste.
I must say that one of the main shortcomings I have seen here and in Ljubiana is that it is not a place to sell enough souvenirs and that it does not have too many flavors.
After eating the sweet red we start our 2-hour trip to Piran. We are arriving in the evening hours of this city which is on the banks of the Adriatic. Entering the city by car is very expensive. So we leave our car in the 7-story garage, which is 1 km outside and we go to the city to go to the city by free bus. There is a bus often but you can also walk by the sea if you like. After leaving the hotel we are throwing ourselves at the Pirate restaurant to taste the famous seafood of Piran to relieve our hunger. Even though it looks very mediocre and outdated from the outside, the service and meals are very successful. If you like seafood, I suggest you come here. To digest the nice meals that are eaten after dinner, we walk a little on the beach, sink the day and return to our hotel to collect power tomorrow.
We did not have breakfast at the place we were staying, so we started looking at the city center for breakfast. Most of the rooms were closed because it was early hours. We saw the beachside hotel in Piran Hotel with breakfast and let ourselves in. After a nice breakfast, we first went to the historical square of the city, Tartini Square. This square, which is made up of wide and white colored stones and marbles, is the center of the city. After a five-minute climb from here, We went to George's Parish church. The churches in Slovenia are closed when there is no ritual. You can look inside the door of a church that is left open with a door, but it is not possible to enter. In Piran, you can see Italian writings in many places where there is serious Italian influence in every direction. You find this script in the church. From this point, you will be able to see both the bird's eye view of the city and the Adriatic blue of the sea, which is not visible.
You can reach the old city walls by walking a little further up there. Here you can see only the smallest parts of the wall. I'd like to tell you already that you came out after I left. Apart from that, there is not much to visit. You can think of it as a small, cute and charming port town. Piran is a town where you can slowly walk around in narrow and long streets, sip a cup of coffee against the sea from your cafes, eat your seafood around the lights after the day, and sip your nightly chewing gourd against phosphorescence.
It was time to return time. We headed for Ljubljana for an hour of return. The day before the sunny bait, the roads we greeted us with a whitish snow after a night and a negative rating. We completed our journey without any problems and arrived at the airport in the evening. We went to the Sixt office to deliver the car, but that's when the most unpleasant moments of vacation began. In the back of the car, which is hard to see even in the eyes of many countries, including my own country, no one cares about a scratch that they did not pay me 280 euros. No matter how much I talk, they do not even listen to me. The car stayed in the car parks every time except during the holiday period. I guess I had it before me. But as I said, this bill cannot be accepted for a scratch that does not even look visibly. I chose SIXT because it is an international company. But when I share the problem with the headquarters, I was told that a problem in Slovenia would link up. So it's no different from a local company. I had private insurance for damages, but it cost me 800 euros to cover the damage. Insurers covering small damages everywhere included elders here. As a result, my attempts to search for the right person via the internet, twitter, e-mail, and idiomatic explanation have been wasted. This is why I recommend you to stay away from SIXT. I realized later that I was experiencing this problem with the other person. Thereafter, no matter where in the world and Turkey SIXT get away from me, I pursue philosophy.
To summarize briefly; I suggest you go to Slovenia. It is an ideal country for a nice and fun weekend. You should see Ljubljana and Bled. It would be without piranha. You can rent a car for these two cities. Transportation by train is available. The city is not a big city for walking on foot. You can get there by train ticket in Bled. But if you rent a car, stay away from SIXT. Generally speaking, the country's Eurozone has affordable prices compared to other countries.
