Sri Lanka - The Secret Country of Distant Lands

I tried to do a lot of research before going on this hike, but unfortunately I know that I found two articles in a saturating place. In this case, I will try to give detailed information as much as possible. Do not blame if you get boring sometimes. I think it is important for us to elaborate a region that is distant from every meaning.
When I was doing the tour preparations, I first realized that if you want to use good quality time in Sri Lanka, you need a good driver first, so I started looking for someone to guide and drive. Firstwhose comments were very good JagathI found a guide named. At first I was very interested and after a few very nice e-mails I was unable to reach him. Although I did not find your phone and talked to me, it did not give me full confidence. So let me tell you to stay away from this friend. while the contacts are on call. I then emailed this site where many guides were locatedhttp://www.synotrip.com/tour-guides/sri-lankaI emailed a lot of the companies that came to mind here and I came back and made the choice according to the prices. "Drive with Dash" has agreed with him because the tour company is both mentality and more institutional. We agreed on 45 euro per day as all travel expenses and small guidance services would belong to them. We decided on the right routes and cities to go, and we put the last point in the way of getting us from the airport.

We landed at Colombo after a 1 hour flight from Maldives. Although we did not need to get a visa, we paid 35 USD per person per passport to our country. Besides being not very perfect, I can say that I am in good shape as I expected. As I walk out in my heart, I hope the driver has come to look around with the thought. After arriving at the exit, I met him with the peace he gave me when I saw the sign that my name was written in someone's hand, and we started to walk towards the car. Since we are landing at night, we should say that we are not prepared for the heavy smell in the air, even though we can not understand anything much because every side is dark. After the car arrived, we went to Negombo directly from Colombo on the plan we made. Negombo is a spot we will only stay for the evening. We decided to stay at Negombo in 45 minutes to stay away from Colombo, both more expensive and urban traffic. It will be easier for us to get on the road next day. I had already looked at the rooms before, but I did not book all. I was thinking about booking a city because the plan might change or there was a better hotel that the driver would recommend, and I did this with the thought and I saw what I thought was right in the progress of the tour. I also suggest you ask for the hotels you have booked as a note. Do they give room for the driver? Every hotel provides it, but if it is not important for the driver, the car is lying and it is important that you relax in whatever it is. Luckily we were in all our hotels.
If I have to give you a little information about the roads, do not worry about renting a car. The roads always come and go and there are no rules. It's a complete camaraderie. They have become accustomed, but it is very difficult for us. I have to say that even for me as a long-driving car or even a right-hand drive, there is a very disturbing traffic flow. Renting a car does not make any sense.
Negombo is also not bad Pledge 3 we got room to stay in our hotel. Unfortunately there are not many good alternatives in the city. If you come in the morning, go directly to the road and do not visit this city but if you need to stay like us this hotel will manage. Clean and hygenic. But you are choosing an extra from the breakfast reservation line.

The next day we headed for Dambulla early in the morning. Due to the fact that there are too many roads to work on the road, we had to go on a continuous route for about 6 hours. It is a way of selling boiled corn, which sell fruit from the side of the road, which is completely gone through the forest. I can say that Dambulla is literally a forested area in the middle of the country. During the journey, try the King Coconut and corn on the roadside side, and it is already sold cheaply from the country's coconut water.

I should say that Dambulla is a bad city as a city center. Close to the city center are the '' Dambulla Cave Temple '' and '' Golden Temple of Dambulla ''. In Sri Lanka, the temple is on top of the mountain as many points will come out. After a 20-minute climb, you reach the top. Monkeys accompany you along the way. But do not stand to feed or they start to pick up your goods to climb on top of you. The Golden Temple of Dambulla seems to me to be seen from the outside, it is a waste of money that I do not recommend you to pay for it. You will also have to walk around barefoot like all the Sri Lanka places. If you're coming here, be prepared. Do not leave your shoe at the entrance to the Cave Temple 0,25 cents leave your shoe shoe or you may not have your shoes when you arrive. Monkeys are very cruel on this. The average entrance to this zone is around $ 10.

Our hotel at the end of the road and after our tiring trip to Villa Arika. Our hotel is a bit out of the city but I can say it is the best hotel in the region. Unfortunately, the possibility of eating outside is very low and the hotel's meals and breakfast are really good quality. The concept for the rooms and the hotel is also very convenient and comfort at a good level. The fact that there is a pool is a serious plus if you enter.

The following day we left early for Sigiriya. After 40 minutes we reached Sigiriya. We paid 25 dollars for the entrance fee and after that a long walk is waiting for us. First you walk through the gardens and then you try to reach the top with a long queue and climb. On average, you can reach the top at the end of 1-1.30 hours. But let me say that if the height is horrible there is no place for you. Crowded and narrow stairs can be a serious problem. But the end of the climb is really worth it. You should definitely go out here this way. The landing is as tough as the exit, but we finally manage to get down and of course we have to rest.

I would also like to note that. Do not leave your water next to you during the whole holiday. The weather is very hot and you are doing long hiking and climbing. It is not an ordeal to be drawn without water, and every step is impossible in finding a place to sell. Sorry to have a Beltur do not have it :)
This region is a little expensive to shop. Similar products can be found in other cities. But of course it is your decision.

The next day we headed for the safari to Habarana. After approximately 1 hour we reached the National Park. In the meantime, I should say these adjustments are very comfortable because our driver always does. I also talked to other people at the same time when I was Turkish and I started to enjoy it even more when I learned that I got good price. Safari lasts about 2 hours. It is a time of passing by fills, peacocks, various birds and monkeys. They do not allow vehicles to cross from a spot because it is a wildlife area. But they go so close to you that you feel yourself. Safari also holds about $ 100.

If you want to be in this area you can do a tour with the tools of Sri Lankan buffets, but we did not do it because we did not have much mind. Then we were faced with a disgusting lunch as usual. We go to the best restaurants in the region, but unfortunately it is not for us. So, dinner at the hotel is gold for us.
We got up early in the morning and headed for Anuradhapura. We can call it the old royal district. It's a huge area and there's so much to see. Inside you can go cycling but I will give you a guided tour. We travel by bike for fun, but you can not get to taste after a point when the hot air says dust. In this respect, I definitely recommend you to drive by car. We recommend you to visit the museum before you explore the area. It is a beautiful museum and it becomes more beautiful to visit and study all the history there. We suggest you take the entrance to the museum and the park together. The entrance fee is around $ 35. I suggest that you take the map of the park.

The next day we went out for Polonnaruwa. At approximately 1:30 am, we reached the elephant orphanage. Dambulla is like the center because it is the center of the country. We are going back here again at the end of the day because the other places we went to are around this place. You need to be here as early as the morning to catch the folks' nutrition clock, or you're missing all the action. Here you are able to touch the filler, you can see more closely and watch them play in the river. Let's say it's a very nice experience. The entrance to the orphanage is around $ 20.

You can find a lot of souvenir shops here and I can say that it is more convenient than other places.
The next day we went to Kandy for the old capital city and the second largest city. First we went to the elephant tour for a little stroll on the elephant. This tour lasts approximately 30-40 minutes. I can only say that it's bindy but emotionally bad to try. I can only say that we regret that we use an elephant for commercial purposes only.
The punishment for catching elephants in the country is very heavy. You can not catch an orchid elephant or something. Only the state educates a certain number of elephants in Polonnaruwa and then sells them. Nobody dares to take it from the wild outside. He is already walking around freely everywhere. When you drive by car, you can see it from the side of the road. The price for this tour is about 70 dolars or something.
We stopped at one of the spice gardens on the road in Matale. These gardens in this area are very famous and I definitely recommend you to stay. One of the Bahçenin employees presented the plants that had walked all the garden for free and gave very interesting information. Everything is natural and in your dream. After a 45-minute stroll, a very nice massage is also a gift to you. Normally it is free but you can tip if you like. As a final point, of course, there are many products made with these plants are entering the market. I must say clearly everything is expensive. But the drugs work. Tested and approved. We recommend natural cinnamon and vanilla. If you have a serious problem, I should remind you that it is worth it, but it is expensive.
We finally arrive in Kandy and we are in a city that looks like a city for the first time. We also stayed at the Queen's Hotel, which was formerly the British queen of the city. But I do not suggest I should say that. Okay, make it authentic. You stay that old air but you do not have to stay so old. The beds are old. The insulation in the glass is zero and the hotel is at the edge of the road so all the noise is inside. The only increment is in the heart of the city.

At 5:30 pm there is a lounge with a local dance show behind the Sri Dalada Maligawa temple. The lounge looks amazing, and even a lot of tourists who see you will be bothering the house to race with someone to take you there. They do not ask for money at all, but the person who brought you is getting money from it, but you are getting hurt because they often throat. The entrance ticket is a $ 7 house and you should definitely go.

Sri Dalada Maligawa becomes a ritual twice a day from the temple. One morning at 7pm and one evening at 17pm. We got up in the morning and went here because we missed the evening. It was a bit of an experience, but it's better if you go early because you may need to wait a lot. Already the place that tourists and local people expect is different. But you are running with them. The entrance fee is around $ 10 but they give you a promotional video CD and do not leave this town until you see it. One of the most important points of Budiszim.

After Kandy, we are heading for Nuwara Eliya, the hardest part of the journey. This is the area where tea gardens are. Roads completely bend the mountain road home constantly. While you are in the city, you are going to return from around 5 hours continuously. I have to say a way that consumes people. But besides this, it is a great nature. Be sure to get something thick when you go here. Because you are switching from a serious temperature to an ice-cold air. The weather is cool and rainy. Since there is no heating in the hotels, you are trying to warm up with air conditioners or small heaters.

The city has an English style design. In the middle there is a huge lake surrounded by green, small single storey houses and horses. Every city in Sri Lanka is different and different. Dambulla region Africa, Kandy Far East, Nuwara Eliya England, Galle and Antalya. In addition, the dominance of religion in the city is also changing. Buddhism, Hinduism, Muslim, Christian. It literally means a mixture and a very different person.
We go out on the road after visiting tea gardens and factories and shopping there. If you get the tea is very hard about the tea take. In this case, we recommend you to put a little bit of milk. Try the white tea. They already give it there for your taste but I must say the price is expensive. Suggest green tea and Earl Gray.

At the end of the six-hour brisk journey, we are taking ourselves to one of the newly built highways of the country and we are now on a flat road. We go to Galle after we go to this highway for about 1 hour.
It is the southernmost of the Gallean countries. Galle city part, but I suggest you stay at Unawatuna. The most beautiful beach in that region. The hotel is unfortunately not very good, but I recommend Calamander Unawatuna Beach. It is on the edge of the beach and is a nice hotel. We come to the holiday region, so we can taste more delicious meals and drinks. Generally speaking, it is not possible to find restaurants even in the inner regions of the country, but this region can be found because it is holiday and tourist oriented.

The day we went, we enjoyed the sea, even though the weather was closed and wavy. Let's say it's a beautiful sea. The next day and last day, Galle traveled to the old town area for the first time. Surrounded by walls and smelling of history. We recommend a street walk and a smell of that air. The lantern in the city is forbidden to exit normally, but the guard there is a little money, you can go out, but there is no need. Nothing to see. and there are very steep stairs. Especially hard and unnecessary for the ladies.
The highway between Galle and Colombo is about an hour's drive away. In the meantime you pay the highway fees. Because there is no free way. They want to go there but we do not want it anymore and you do not want it because the toll road is only 5 bucks or something. We wanted to go to Colombo and visit for a while because our plane was in the evening. I can say nothing in the city center. We agreed with a tuktuk and agreed to go for a round of 1 dolaş. But shopping malls and long buildings. Nothing else. Tuktuks say that we will travel you very cheaply, but they will take you to the agreed places and earn gasoline. If you think to me, dig out a little money and pay for the city tour and go in more detail. But as I said, I'm just going to have a trip.
We went to the airport a little early because it was our time. There's a shop in the airport with a foot massage. I must say that he came very well on that tiredness. We finally get on our plane and we are in our country after a 10 hour flight.
To make a general statement. I must say that it is definitely a place to be seen. If you like a bit of adventure and walk is not too difficult for you, you should go. You can see how many different cultures can live together. Find your chauffeur before you leave and remove your route from your plan. It might be a problem if you just leave them. Negotiate the price on the route. Otherwise, extras can occur.
I tried to tell him as much as I could, but I know he's tall. I am trying to give you information about the country. I did not go into the details of the regions but if you want more detailed information you can contact me.
Important notes;
- Have some food on the car.
- Keep your slippers with you. It's hard to take shoes everywhere.
- Wrap it next to the women because they do not wear it with shorts.
- Men need long shorts or trousers.
- Do not run out of water in your bag. The roads are long and the weather is hot.
