Giethoorn (Netherlands) - Welcome to the peaceful capital

Giethoorn

Giethoorn? Where is there? There is a place like that! I think that when I see the title of many people, I am sure it is the first question that comes to my mind. Because the first time I heard the same questions, I searched and found Google Map as my first job myself.

I have to admit that this little town in the north of the Netherlands has learned that my wife should go "surely we should go" after the road. We arrived at Giethoorn after a 2-hour drive from Brussels. Along the way, there was plenty of greenery we could go on without counting rain, sleet and dark air. Giethoorn, one of the Dutch villages, is also an hour away from Amsterdam. Giethoorn is a village in the middle of the houses where the canals pass, with the village behind the villages.

Giethoorn roads green to

can be reached by car from the point of the village, but afterward, you have to leave the car in the car park and walk. After leaving the vehicle, you can travel by footpath-shaped roads, by walking along the canals, through wooden bridges. Since some bridges are only connected to a house, they have their own private gates and it is not possible to cross them. The entire village is made up of single-story houses with gardens. Even on the roofs of the houses, you can see special coverings and lawns. As you walk, you feel yourself in the village of Hobbit. Small cute and round glass houses. The food is green and calm everywhere. I think people can stab themselves here in peace and quiet. At first, people do not grow old here, but even if they think that they live in peace, I think they will feel like they can feel uncomfortable after a few moments of sitting and thinking. At least he gave me that feeling.

We walked to one side of the house looking at boutique chefs and cafes one after another and we reached an open area where we could call it the center. Here is the pier where you can also see the boats for the canals. You can also rent your own boat if you want to, but it was not possible for us to do this because we went in the winter months. Because all the engines are open. When I went to talk about the details of the boats, I learned that the last round was at 14:00. When I looked at the watch, when I realized that it was 10 minutes before the start of the last round, we had to throw ourselves into the boat immediately. I guess it's winter, so there's a little less tour.

The tour lasts for about 1 hour but I will explain it like this; the engine is moving at the speed of the turtle, the person using the engine is supposed to speak in the microfiber to give information about the region, but it is so bad that it is impossible to understand even if you make a special effort to understand it. (I hope they will use a better English engine for their luck.)There is not really much to tell, but they have tried to do something and keep it long enough to be able to afford the 7.50 Euro.

Giethoorn Boat Tour

After we got off went to a nearby restaurant and got a meal order. We had seen a few different venues when we were traveling by boat, but we tried to throw ourselves out one day before the end of the day. We decided to move quickly because we learned that some of the places we talked to were cooking after lunch or that there was a restricted menu. But besides that, I have to say that there are enough places to pass two fingers in total and one or two of them seem to be boutique, but in the real sense, how unfortunately I can not say anything clear on this subject.

The room we entered seemed very authentic and beautiful from the outside. Besides, the decoration of the inside takes you directly. But let's say we're a little disappointed when it comes to giving business flavor and the right to eat. Apart from not being very affordable, the portions were small and tasteless. Fortunately, if we had enough, we thought that it was enough and we were comfortable with ourselves.

Afterward, we had arrived at the end of both Giethoorn and our tour and we walked back the same way and we got on our way and got on the road.

To summarize briefly Giethoorn; you need to go and see where you need to be seen. I advise you to try to go in the spring or summer months. More than a day can come. Because there is not much place to go around. But if I listen to you, if you think you can take coffee and read my book and rest, surely I do not know it. Because here peace and serenity can become a capital.
